About us
A unified voice for the growers of the karst valleys
Founded to serve as a unified voice and support network for rural growers, Udruženje voćara i povrtlara Istočne Hercegovine is a registered non-profit agricultural association based in Stolac, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Our organization works at the grassroots level to address the pressing challenges facing local fruit and vegetable producers—including climate adaptation, pest management, access to modern technology, and sustainable market distribution. By organizing expert-led workshops, field trials, joint machinery sharing, and cooperative marketing strategies, we help smallholders and family farms increase crop yield, reduce overhead, and protect the unique ecosystems of Eastern Herzegovina.
Our mission
To empower fruit growers and vegetable farmers across Eastern Herzegovina through collaborative technical training, sustainable agricultural practices, resource sharing, and public advocacy, ensuring rural economic vitality and food security.
Our vision
A thriving, resilient, and ecologically sustainable agricultural ecosystem in Eastern Herzegovina where local farmers prosper, traditional heritage crops are preserved, and modern non-profit innovation drives community growth.
