Udruženje voćara i povrtlara Istočne Hercegovine guarantees fair and equal access to all of its resources, programmes, events, and governance bodies.

Last updated: 1 August 2026

1. Declaration

No person is excluded from membership, training, technical guidance, shared equipment, financial support, employment, volunteering, or elected office within this association on the basis of gender, gender identity, ethnicity, national origin, religion or belief, language, political opinion, age, disability, health status, marital or family status, sexual orientation, social origin, property, size of holding, or place of residence.

2. Equal opportunity in practice

Membership is open and technical guidance is free of charge for smallholders. Workshops are held in locations reachable from rural settlements, and materials are provided in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and English.

The association actively encourages the participation of women farmers, returnee households, and young people, and reports participation figures by group in its annual impact report.

Reasonable accommodation is provided on request so that members with disabilities or limited mobility can take part in events and field days.

3. Harassment and retaliation

Harassment, intimidation, and discriminatory conduct at any association activity are prohibited. Retaliation against a person who reports a concern in good faith, or who assists an inquiry, is itself a breach of this policy.

4. Reporting and resolution

Concerns may be reported to the Secretary General at info@herzegovinafruitgrowers.info or in person at the registered office in Stolac. Reports are acknowledged within seven days and reviewed by the Supervisory Board, which acts independently of the Executive Board. Confidentiality is maintained as far as the inquiry allows.

Confirmed breaches lead to corrective measures that may include a formal warning, exclusion from an activity, removal from office, or termination of membership by decision of the competent body.

5. Responsibility

The Executive Board is accountable for implementing this policy, for training coordinators and trainers on its content, and for reporting on its application at each General Assembly.
